ApolloMedics and Harley Owners Group launch ‘Health with Harley’ campaign featuring bike rally, CPR training, and road safety awareness
Lucknow: Marking Trauma Awareness Month, ApolloMedics Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, in collaboration with the Harley Owners Group (HOG), United Chapter, Lucknow India, organized a unique public awareness initiative titled “Health with Harley.” The campaign aimed to educate citizens about road safety, trauma prevention, and life-saving emergency response measures.
The event began with a grand motorcycle rally that was flagged off by ACP Radharaman Singh and Dr. Mayank Somani, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ApolloMedics Hospital. The rally, featuring Harley-Davidson enthusiasts, covered nearly 50 kilometers across various parts of the city before concluding at ApolloMedics Hospital.
Following the rally, a comprehensive CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session was conducted for members of the Harley Owners Group. The training also saw active participation from traffic police personnel, including ADCP Raghvendra Singh. Participants were trained in providing immediate assistance during medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure, where timely intervention can significantly improve survival chances.
More than 150 officers and personnel from the Lucknow Traffic Police attended the training programme. The session focused on equipping participants with essential first-response skills that can help save lives before professional medical assistance arrives. In addition, experts conducted an awareness programme highlighting trauma prevention strategies and safe road practices.
Addressing the gathering, ACP Radharaman Singh elaborated on several aspects of road safety and responsible vehicle ownership. He emphasized the importance of installing High Security Registration Plates (HSRP), describing them as a crucial component of vehicle identification and security. He also highlighted ongoing enforcement drives against the use of modified silencers, illegal black films on vehicle windows, and other traffic violations.
The Traffic Police Department further presented a special demonstration on how to identify genuine and counterfeit HSRPs, helping citizens avoid fraud and comply with safety regulations.

“Road safety extends beyond simply following traffic rules. Safe vehicles, authentic registration plates, and responsible behaviour are equally important,” ACP Singh said. “HSRP is a vital part of vehicle security, and citizens should be aware of the differences between genuine and fake plates. We are pleased that more than 150 traffic police personnel participated in this CPR training, which can prove invaluable in saving lives during emergencies. Initiatives like this by ApolloMedics and the Harley Owners Group play a significant role in spreading awareness.”
Dr. Mayank Somani underscored the importance of the first few minutes following an accident, often referred to as the “golden hour.”
“The initial moments after a traumatic incident are critical. Timely and appropriate intervention can often make the difference between life and death,” he said. “Through the ‘Health with Harley’ campaign, we have sought to spread awareness about the importance of preparedness, knowledge, and quick action during emergencies.”
Ajay, President of the Harley Owners Group, United Chapter, Lucknow, said the group is committed to participating in initiatives that contribute positively to society.
“We are always eager to support programmes that benefit the community. Partnering with ApolloMedics during Trauma Awareness Month for this campaign is a matter of pride for us. We hope this initiative encourages more people to understand the importance of road safety and CPR training,” he said.
The campaign successfully combined the passion of motorcycling with a powerful public health message, reinforcing the importance of preparedness, responsible road behaviour, and community involvement in emergency response. Organizers believe that such collaborative efforts can help create a safer and more informed society while encouraging citizens to become active participants in saving lives.
